The submission of an application for the 2023 Thesis Prizes of the Société de Biologie de Strasbourg is made in three phases described below. Phases 1 and 2 are to be performed in parallel. Phase 3 consists of the deposition of the application itself. Please remember the date of closing for the application deposition: Friday, January 26, 2024, at midnight. This year, there will be no extension for filing.

Phase 1 : Application preparation

The application for the 2023 Thesis Prizes of the Société de Biologie de Strasbourg consists of 6 documents described below.

Documents 1 and 2 must be collected by you.

Document 2 must include the reports of the examiners AND the thesis defense report.

Documents 3, 4, 5 and 6 must be downloaded using the appropriate icons, and completed in the frames provided for this purpose.

Important: for texts having several lines in documents 3, 4, 5 and 6, please respect the limits of the frames if this is requested in the form; if you exceed these limits, scrolling arrows will appear, but only the first part of your text that is visible within the frame will be visualized upon printing.

Document 1. A copy of the thesis of the candidate (PDF format)

Document 2. A copy of the reports of the examiners and of the thesis defense report (PDF format)

Document 3. An application form (paper or PDF ; mandatory model to download FichierPDF-téléchargement-small)

Document 4. A curriculum vitae (paper or PDF format ; mandatory model to download FichierPDF-téléchargement-small)

Document 5. Your motivation and your vision of the impact of your PhD research (paper or PDF format ; mandatory model to download FichierPDF-téléchargement-small)

Document 6. A list of communications (paper or PDF format ; mandatory model to download FichierPDF-téléchargement-small)

Phase 2: Obtaining login credentials for the SBS website

To submit an application for the 2023 Thesis Prizes of the Société de Biologie de Strasbourg, you require login credentials for the SBS website to deposit your documents online.

If you do not yet have login credentials, contact the SBS team at contact (at) societe-biologie-strasbourg.fr stating ‘Thesis Prizes 2023‘ as subject. You will quickly receive a mail with your login credentials, the SBS is giving you with one year of free access to the different features of its website.

If you already have login credentials, you do not have to do anything more.

Phase 3: Deposition of the application

Once you have gathered and filled the various documents of the application for the SBS 2023 Thesis Award, you can proceed with the deposition of your application.

This procedure breaks down as follows :

Document 1 must be e-mailed (PDF format) to our secretary (secretaire (at) societe-biologie-strasbourg.fr) as a download link (Google drive, Renater, etc…)

Documents 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 can be forwarded to the SBS by the form dedicated to this purpose available on the website of the SBS. To use this form, please use the procedure described below.

To deposit your documents 2 to 6 online on the website of SBS, first access the extended features of the website using the ‘Login button at the top right of the SBS website. Use your login credentials obtained in Phase 2 to login. Go to the submenu ‘Thesis Prizes / Submit an application‘. Then use the features on this page to submit your application for the 2023 Thesis Prizes of the Société de Biologie de Strasbourg.

Note that if you encounter difficulties using this form, you can also send documents 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 per e-mail to our secretary (secretaire (at) societe-biologie-strasbourg.fr).
