Présentation

IGBMC, Strasbourg-Illkirch, October 13th, 2017

Detailed understanding of regulatory mechanisms of nuclear processes such as transcription and epigenetics requires integrative studies combining structural, biochemical, functional and genome-wide approaches. This integrative biology approach is essential for the development of innovative therapeutic strategies.
These questions form a major focus of research at IGBMC.

A transversal program, IGEE (Integrative analyses of Gene Expression and the Epigenome), gathering many teams from different departments has been launched to reinforce the synergy around this theme at IGBMC.
The aim of this program is to favor and foster collaborative research around transcription and epigenetic regulation, to develop ambitious and high impact strategies for the future thus ensuring a strong position for IGBMC in these fields.

The symposium « Transcriptional and epigenetic regulation: structures, mechanisms, genome wide studies – 2nd Edition » contributes to this initiative by providing an exchange platform of expertise to the IGEE teams at IGBMC and highly recognized international teams in the fields of transcription and epigenetic regulation.
